Cold feet…warm hearts! The Ford Ice Center along with the Scott Hamilton Skating Academy and Club are proud to host the 2023 ISU International Adult Figure Skating Competition! This is the first international event ever for some and a return of many more. This is only the 2nd time in history the event has been in the United States of America and we are proud to host! In order to ensure everything runs ICEY smooth for these amazing athletes, we rely on “people power”! Our Scott Hamilton Skating Academy staff, Nashville Predators HOG, Scott Hamilton Skating Club members, as well as Adult Competitors help with all aspects of running this event, from hospitality and athlete registration, to announcing events.

MEET THE BAND!

CHARLIE MCCOY | Any musician in Nashville has heard of Charlie McCoy. A mainstay in Music City since the '60s, Charlie has played on dozens of hit records, including works with such legends as Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, Simon and Garfunkel, George Jones, Bob Dylan, Roy Orbison and many more. The solo work of this Country Music Hall of Fame member is contained on more than three dozen albums that Charlie has released over the past four decades. Charlie has performed all over America, Japan twenty times and in over two hundred cities and towns in Europe.

TIM SMITH | Tim Smith is a guitarist, bassist, vocalist, songwriter, and producer. He's toured and recorded with many well-respected artists over the years, including The Producers, Jellyfish, Sheryl Crow, World Party, The Finn Brothers, Sarah McLachlan and Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds.

LAURA PURSELL | A native of Nashville, Tennessee, Laura is the daughter of pianist/composer and famed Nashville sideman Bill Pursell. She is a singer, songwriter, and actress with 5 full-length recording to her credit. Laura is a figure skater and in 1995 she played Tonya Harding in "Weird Al" Yankovic's video parody of the Crash Test Dummies' song, "Headline News. She acted and skated in the video, which aired on MTV. In 1998, she played a small, pivotal role in "The Landlady", starring and produced by Oscar-nominated Talia Shire.

RODDY SMITH | American songwriter and guitarist

BOB MATER | Bob is a Nashville session musician who has played drums on award winning recordings with Nashville country and bluegrass legends for many years, and is a first call drummer for local groups, mainly jazz and large ensembles. In addition, he is a well-respected arranger currently producing tracks for a new label in Nashville, Grand Vista, and is the staff drummer on Crook and Chase, a new cable variety show.

JASON COLEMAN | Nashville pianist Jason Coleman is the grandson of Country Music Hall of Fame member Floyd Cramer, whose music is a primary influence on Coleman. He has released fifteen albums and hosts The Jason Coleman Show on WSM Radio.
